Join local herbalist and forager Imelda Bell for a 2 hour hands-on community workshop that participants to explore the deep connection between local wild plants and natural skincare. The experience blends guided foraging, botanical education, and holistic skincare formulation to help participants understand how everyday “weeds” and native plants can become powerful tools for skin health and self-care. The workshop begins with a guided introduction to ethical and safe urban foraging practices, where participants will learn to identify common local plants known for their skin-supportive properties such as plantain, dandelion, yarrow, and calendula (depending on seasonal availability). During this portion, participants will also be introduced to the concept of the “wild apothecary,” learning how traditional herbal knowledge and modern skincare practices intersect. Note: This is one of this year’s Community Grant workshops.
